Personalised Number Plates

Personalised number plates are no longer a preserve of the rich and famous. Number plates have captured the imagination of the public for making a car more individual. In 2017 alone, over 111 million pounds was spent on personalised number plates. The data shows that acquiring personalised plates is an exciting prospect for first-time buyers. If you are thinking of getting such plates, it is vital to understand DVLA requirements and information needed by other relevant authorities and the information required to get number plates made.

Where to Buy Personalised Number Plates

Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) is a good place to start when looking for personalised number plates. It eliminates middlemen and has more than 45 million available registrations for buyers. DVLA has a search tool that enables you to browse the available collection of plates easily. Auctions are held throughout the year by DVLA, which allows you to bid in person, over the phone or online.

Personalised plates can also be purchased from brokers who engage in buying and selling of private number plates. Brokers are more expensive compared to plates sold directly by DVLA.

Private dealers also sell personalised number plates. They do it through classified adverts found in car newspapers and magazines. Since they advertise rare plates, they tend to be quite expensive.

Basic Equipment RNPS number plate suppliers should have in order to produce printed road legal number plates.
